Bridlington eyesores
The Bridlington Free
Press has asked for photographs of eyesores in the town. PaperClip - their
resident rottweiler columnist - wants people to send photos of what they
consider eyesores so that the paper can approach the owners of those
buildings and ask them to smarten themselves up.
Here's a handful:
Cex Entertainment Exchange on Chapel Street. The upper floors are probably
the remnant of an original old house but it's never been updated. If it was
gutted it could be set up to resemble a traditional fisherman's cottage and
provide an attraction for the town.

First floor over Cliff
Street Wallcoverings.

The former Harbour
Master's Office. I expect this will disappear when - OK if - the Marina is
ever built.

The wall at the foot of
north pier. I think that after the fire which destroyed the Victoria Rooms
in 1933, the powers that be just knocked down the remains of the building
into the cellar and covered it up. This wall has been like this for ages.

The upper floors of this
building is in poor decorative condition. It's right in the middle of the
prime shopping street in town, The Promenade. It's probably got nothing to
do with Just Balloons, but someone owns it.
I'll be out looking
for further examples.
