The Bridlington Messenger is a spoof A3 12-page local newspaper. It is packed with news, stories and pictures (all made up) and genuine adverts by local traders. Without their involvement and financial backing, the Messenger could not exist. Six local charities benefited from Messenger sales, while the remaining copies were given to local charity shops.
One guy bought a couple of copies for his friends at the pub but came back later to buy a dozen. "Best laugh they'd had for ages," he said.
