I was lucky enough to climb the tower of Priory Church on 28th July 1978, with my father, mother and half a dozen children, three of mine and three of their cousins.

I shot black and white film in those days.

On 26th October 2000, I went up the tower again, this time with Diane. We found it quite a climb carrying a tripod plus cameras and extra lenses.

In some ways I was glad it was sunny, but the sun was in totally the wrong direction for photographs of the town and towards the sea. Too many deep shadows.
