Queen
Elizabeth II
On Sunday, 16th
September, 2007, Queen Elizabeth II sailed past Flamborough Head. She
was on one of her last round-Britain cruises before sailing to Dubai to
become a permanent fixture there. It was a beautiful fine day and thousands
flocked to the headland to see this magnificent ship.

QE2 at her
closest. Between her and the camera the offshore (Marine Engineer)
and inshore (Lords Feoffees III) lifeboats of Bridlington can
just be made out.

This
photograph of the QE2 was taken at her earlier sail by Flamborough
Head. It was in the late 90s if I remember correctly. We took time
off work and a large group of us were there to see this magnificent
ship. |
